July 2019 Minutes - D. Trew
On a warm 19th day of July, the Friends of the Rothrock State Forest convened their monthly board meeting. The following board members were in attendance: D. Trew; M. Bush; B. Coe; T. Harrison; T. Kistler; J. McCauley; D. Pontzer; K. Ombalski; J. Ziegler.
The meeting was soon called to order and an uplifting treasury report was given, providing overview of our available funds and congratulating the group on raising over $800 through the Centre Gives event. The development committee relayed a small error with the paperwork related the Visitor’s Bureau grant, in that PPFF was supposed to be forwarded the final contract and our signatures on it were technically invalid. Not a big issue, but it could delay the funds being deposited into our account.
The communications committee reported that the promotions for Trail Fest were beginning and that we had a great open rate on our emails, pointing to the fact people want to be engaged with us. A new workday was seen on the horizon for some time in the fall and likely encompassing a project in the Bear Meadows area.
The group then discussed the merits of what size and quantity of ads we could place in the soon to be updated Rothrock Purple Lizard map.
