Conservation Volunteer Day - Long Mountain Trail

UPDATE #2: For logistics reasons, we will now meet at Penn Roosevelt State Park and hike up Thickhead to Long Mountain.

Please join the Friends of Rothrock State Forest for a Conservation Volunteer Day on Saturday, June 26th from 8:30 AM until 4:00 PM. Long Mountain Trail, a 2.8 mile long shared-use trail that connects Penn Roosevelt State Park to Allen Seeger Natural Area, is currently overgrown in most sections. The project work will consist of cutting back limbs and brush to clear the trail corridor. All help is appreciated whether for a full, half or partial day as your schedule allows.

Registration is available below and is limited to 40 people. Kids under 18 may attend with a parent or guardian. Tools will be provided but do plan to bring gloves, bug spray, sunblock, a̶n̶d̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶r̶ ̶o̶w̶n̶ ̶l̶u̶n̶c̶h̶.
